Not just a love song

A Star is Born is the must watch movie of the season and I can give you a million reasons why you should see it, but I think I will only give you one. It is AWESOME!

I actually never knew Bradley Cooper can sing that well, but the star of the show is Lady Gaga. The singer/actress gives an exceptional performance in the romantic musical and it is something all music or romantic movie lovers should not miss.

Cooper’s work behind and in front of the camera is mind-blowing. His directing style, the story, the acting and the script works perfectly together. I thought the critics were paid-off because of all the excellent reviews, but it turns out the movie is just a masterpiece.

It has features an awesome cast, a well composed and written soundtrack and score, and a story that might just make you want to fall in love. Now I am not just saying that because I love Lady Gaga’s voice, the movie is actually great.

Now I know some people think musicals are something of the past, but A Star is Born just breathed new life into the genre. Believe it or not, this film is best enjoyed at the silver screen. So maybe looked passed some of the flaws, but they really are hard to notice.

Seasoned musician Jackson Maine discovers -- and falls in love with -- struggling artist Ally. She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer until Jackson coaxes her into the spotlight. But even as Ally's career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jackson fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons.

My Verdict

Like I said it is well-written, well-directed, the acting is exceptional and the music is mind-blowing. I honestly have no critic for the movie, so the only reason you have to not go see it, is if you are not a music fan. It is not your typical movie; it has something for everyone (except children under the age of 16). So make sure you go check it out.
