Into the Spider’s mythology

Miles Morales made his cinematic debut and it is one for the record books.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the crossover film we have all been waiting for. The slick visuals, the story, the humour, the cast, the direction, everything just seems so perfect. Each character stole my heart the moment they swung onto the silver screen.

The film’s makers took a few pointers from the comics to create the movie’s unique visual style. This not only sets it apart from other animations, but also makes way for a unique Spider-Man story. Fans have been asking for Miles Morales and Sony delivered a product that is better than any of us could have expected.

To me it is like the Citizen Kane of superhero movies and something so unique that I think it will be hard to top. Shameik Moore as Morales, alongside Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Brian Tyree Henry, Lily Tomlin, Luna Lauren Velez, Zoë Kravitz, John Mulaney, Kimiko Glenn, Nicolas Cage, Kathryn Hahn, and Liev Schreiber makes for the perfect translation of the characters onto the big screen.

In the film, Morales becomes one of many Spider-People and must team up with the others to save New York City from the Kingpin. New characters that are introduced include Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Man and Peni Parker.

My Verdict

This movie is special to me and nothing can change that. It is a must-watch and not to be missed cinematic masterpiece. Everything in the film works so well together, even you are not an animated film fan, you should still give this one a try. Miles Morales gives new life to the Spider-Man franchise.
