What You Gonna Do?
The boys are here and
badder than ever. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back where they belong and
it is simply awesome.
It has been 17 years since
we last saw Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett take down some of Miami’s baddest
and a lot has changed since then. Thankfully, the team behind Bad Boys For Life knew exactly what the
audience needed.
It’s usually hard to
bring back a franchise that’s been dormant for so long, but directors Bilall
Fallah, Adil El Arbi made it look so easy. They took everything that work for
the first two movies, gave it a modern spin and directed the best movie in the Bad Boys franchise.
The movie is full of
references to its prequels and it quickly sets the tone for the rest of the
film and series going foreard. It might not be the strongest story, but seeing these characters come
alive on the screen again made me nostalgic.
I grew up on the Bad
Boys movies and Will Smith was the king of action comedy to me back in the day.
After a few missteps with his recent roles, it was great to see him back in
form and flirting with some women.
The movie also opens
the door for more stories in the future and a sequel has already been
confirmed. This movie isn’t just for those who loved the old ones, but it also
makes provision for a new generation of movie goers.
In Bad Boys For Life, old-school cops Mike
Lowery and Marcus Burnett team up to take down the vicious leader of a Miami
drug cartel. Newly created elite team AMMO of the Miami police department along
with Mike and Marcus go up against the ruthless Armando Armas.
My Verdict
The boys are back and
that makes me happy. This is any action movie lover’s dream come true. The movie
is filmed with comedy, big action sequences and emotion. Everything that made
the first two movies awesome has been doubled in this one. So do not miss out
on the hype, because the hype is real. Go watch Bad Boys For Life.
My Rating: 9.0 out of
10 –Loved it!
