Sweet Revenge Turns Bitter

Action movies have always been my favourite film genre, but it was all going downhill until John Wick made his debut a few years ago.
The assassin proved that there are still great stories to tell and it can have some action along the way. Some action is probably an understatement for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. The movie is almost all action, with a little drama sprinkled in-between.
Keanu Reeves once again proved why his character is so beloved by us action-freaks. Each fighting scene tops the one before. I’m not a martial arts expert, but I pretty sure they employed at least 10 different fighting styles during the films run.
Halle Berry’s Sofia was definitely the stand-out human out character for me, but her dogs completely stole the show. I believe both of them deserve Oscars or at least a Golden Globe. Apart from the action and the amazing acting, the movie took some well received twists.
Instead of just being a chase movie with a couple people getting killed, the film dived into John Wick’s history a little more and showed that there is much more stories left to tell. I was impressed by the direction the filmmakers chose to go.
After gunning down a member of the High Table -- the shadowy international assassin's guild -- legendary hit man John Wick finds himself stripped of the organization's protective services. Now stuck with a $14 million bounty on his head, Wick must fight his way through the streets of New York as he becomes the target of the world's most ruthless killers.

My Verdict
All and all, John Wick 3 is an action-flick, but at the same it is completely character driven. The violence and gore might be a little excessive for people, so I probably wouldn’t recommend it for everyone. It is however perfect for a boys night out.
My Rating: 8.9 out of 10 – Love It!
