The End Is Here
It's been a year since Thanos decimated half the universe and most of our favourite heroes, but that wasn't the end. Our heroes are back to avenge the fallen.
After
building an interconnected movie universe for the past 11 years, Marvel Studios
is on the verge of closing one of the longest movie arcs in cinematic history. Many thought last year was the end, but we didn't move on.
Avengers: Endgame promises to be culmination of 11 years of
storytelling, which consists of more than 20 movies and one-shot stories. This isn't just a movie, it is an event that fans have been waiting for and every character's arc has been
building towards this.
Avengers: Infinity War proved that Marvel Studios have a lot of surprises up their sleeves, so we better enter the theater with open minds. There is a big chance that some of our heroes might not make it and that others will return.
Endgame has been
called one of the most anticipated films in decades. It will feature an all-star
ensemble cast which include characters from the previous Avengers movies, Black
Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy,
Doctor Strange, Ant-Man and Spider-Man:
Homecoming.
The movie will have a
special premiere at Ster-Kinekor Grove Mall on 25 April. The tickets sold at a fast pace as fans were waiting anxiously to see what comes next in the MCU. The
film will then roll out to for all day showings on 26 April. Tickets for tonight’s
premiere cost N$100.
Tickets are selling
out fast worldwide with everyone wanting to see their favourite Marvel hero avenge the fallen against the Mad Titan, Thanos. According to
Fandango, an online ticket seller in USA, Endgame has already outsold the pre-sale tickets of the previous the previous films in the franchise movies combined. It is also the all-time top-selling movie on the site.
The ensemble cast
includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans,
Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Danai
Gurira, Josh Brolin, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Runner and many more. The film is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and written by Christopher
Markus and Stephen McFeely.
The directors asked
the fans not to share any spoilers of the film online for at least a month.
According to them they want all the fans to have an equal experience when they
watch the movie.
“Do not spoil it for
others, the same way you would not want it spoiled for you,” the Russo brothers
said.
