Barry de Klerk – After building an interconnected movie universe for the past 10 years, Marvel Studios is on the verge of closing their decade long story.
Avengers: Infinity War promises to be culmination of 10 years of storytelling, which consists of more than 18 movies and one-shot stories. This movie is the event fans have been waiting for and every characters arc has been building towards this.
The movie has been called one of the most anticipated films in decades. It will feature an all-star ensemble cast which include characters from the previous Avengers movies, Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
The film will have a special premiere at Ster-Kinekor Grove Mall next Thursday, 26 April at 20:00. The film will then roll out to other movie theatres on 27 April. Tickets for the premiere will cost N$150 and will include a special movie-based gift.
Tickets are selling out fast worldwide with everyone wanting to see their favourite Marvel hero fight against the big bad Thanos. According to Fandango, an online ticket seller in USA, Infinity War has already outsold the pre-sale tickets of the previous seven Marvel movies combined.
In the film, Thanos is looking to collect all six Infinity Stones to balance the universe in a way he sees fit. After the Avengers team split at the end of Captain America: Civil War, they have to make amends and work together to stop the extinction of humanity and half the universe. They also have to trust new allies which include the Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange.
The ensemble cast includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Josh Brolin, and Chris Pratt. The film is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
The directors asked the fans not to share any spoilers of the film online for at least a month. According to them they want all the fans to have an equal experience when they watch the movie.

“Do not spoil it for others, the same way you would not want it spoiled for you,” the Russo brothers said.
