Movies in April

This month might be another one for the cinematic record books, as one of the most expensive films will make its way to the big screen.

This year has already been successful for Hollywood with Black Panther on its way to gross US$1.3-billion dollars at the global box-officer. Film studios will go into the second quarter of the year hoping to set new box office records and giving the people exactly what they want. April will not be a big month, but it has two movies that promise to be big blockbusters and one stars The Rock. Here is what you can look forward to this month.

Blockers

The comedy starring Leslie Mann, Ike Barinholtz and John Cena will make its way to the silver screen from 6 April. It promises to be a big comedy event and the trailer was kind of awesome. I really hope this film will not be a let-down.

A Quiet Place

This will be one of the biggest films to have sign language as the main way of communication. This horror looks to be amazing and it has already received raving reviews. The film is stars John Krasinski, who also directed and his wife, Emily Blunt. It will also be rolled out from 6 April.

Rampage

This Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson film is based on a video game and it looks like an adventure. After the success of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Johnson will once again interact with different creatures. I just hope this movie will not bomb. It will be in cinemas from 13 April.

Truth or Dare

Blumhouse is back with another horror movie, but this time it is more like a game. Lucy Hale and Tyler Posey lead the cast in this young adult horror. The trailer looks promising and hopefully the film will deliver. It will be in cinemas from 13 April.

Avengers: Infinity War

The most anticipated movie of the year is finally on its way to the big screen. It has a starring cast of more than 20 and features more than 60 superheroes fighting for a common cause. The film has been 10 years in the making and will bring together characters from nearly all previous Marvel Studio films. Avengers: Infinity War will be out from 26 April.
