It, the Review
It is here,
not Cousin It from the Addam’s Family. This It is more sinister, more scary and
probably more creepy than a guy covered in hair.
The film
based on a 1990 miniseries that was based on a 1986 Stephen King novel. It truly
is a cinematic force and supernatural force to reckon with. The story of
Pennywise the dancing clown is interesting to say the least.
It has been
one of the most anticipated films of the year and it definitely does not
disappoint. In my opinion the movie is one of the best theatrically adaptions ever,
yes even better than Twilight (to all you fake vampire lovers).
This movie
is not a horror in the traditional sense, it does have its terrifying or creepy
scenes, but there is a lot more mystery and suspense to it. It keeps the
viewers on their toes, though not in the literal sense.
I don’t
want to give away too much information about the movie, but if you read the
books then you will have an idea what will happen. It’s kind of like the
Netflix series, Stranger Things, but on a grander scale.
Like I said
before, it delivers and it definitely is a movie of the highest quality. So
take a break from all the superhero and action movies and go tickle your brain
a bit. It, is worth the watch, but remember this is another one of those “not
for sensitive viewers” kind of film.
So get your
butt off the coach, go get a ticket for it and have a few sleepless nightmare
filled nights. This film deserves a 9.2 out of 10.
