Comic Con comes to Africa
Geeks,
nerds, movie lovers, gamers, anime fans and all other entertainment seekers
Comic Con is finally going to touch down in Africa this year.
So if you
love anime, TV, movies, comics, video games, cosplay, manga, board games,
fantasy novels and all other geeky stuff then you are in for surprise. Comic
Con Africa will take place from 14 to 16 September 2018 Kyalami Grand Prix
Circuit & International Convention Centre in Midrand, South Africa.
One of the highlights
of the Comic Con will be the appearance of Jason Momoa, also known as Aquaman
Aka Arthur Curry. Jason made his debut
as Aquaman in the DCEU and now he is going to set foot on African soul.
He is
popular amongst fantasy fans as well. Jason portrayed the Dothraki warlord,
Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones. He also starred in Conan the Barbarian, Bullet
to the Head and new show, Frontier. He will be at Comic Con Africa on 15 and 16
September.
Rick Worthy
will also be amongst the special guests. He is known as the Alpha Vampire in
Supernatural and Simon Cylon in Battlestar Galactica. He also had roles in
shows like The Magicians and The Man in The High Castle, as well as Vampire
Diaries.
Another
special guest wil be comedy actor, Kevin Sussman, also known as Stuart in The
Big Bang Theory. In the show his known as the owner of comic book store, maybe
he will share some of his knowledge with his fans at the comic con.
International
cosplayer, Yaya Han is also sset to make an appearance at the convention. Yaya
has been involved in the cosplay community for over 18 year and played a
pivotal role in introducing the art to a mainstream audience.
Goliath and
Goliath, local funny trio will be the guest emcees at Comic Con Africa. Jason,
Donovan and Nicholas Goliath will show off their comedic talents and they will
take on various roles at the convention.
There will
be various stalls to visit and different worlds to explore at Comic Con Africa.
So whether you’re a superhero or sidekick – there will be something special for
you. With various activities to do, you will be kept busy for the whole
weekend.
