The Next Avenger

It is the end of an era as we know it, everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is no longer as it was.
The end of the Infinity Saga marks the start of something new and Spider-Man: Far From Home was the perfect movie to end it all. Avengers: Endgame gave us closure on the Avengers, but Far From Home proves that Marvel Studios isn’t done with their story telling yet.
The second Spider-Man flick in the MCU dives deeper in Peter’s teenage- and school life. After disappearing during the decimation, Peter and his classmates are back to make up for lost time. The movie introduces us to new character Mysterio, something most Marvel fan boys have been looking forward to.
The thing about this movie is, we know how it will turn out but it still comes as a major shock. There are twists that most casual moviegoers never would have expected. The rest of the story is also well told and you get to see a lot of Europe (See villains also attack Europe).
Tom Holland does another exceptional job as the wall crawler. I’m not trying to be biased, but he is my all time favourite live action Spidey. The rest of the cast are just as amazing and well done to Jake Gyllenhaal for deliver a well thought out Mysterio.
This movie is definitely one of the top two Spider-Man movies of all time and it beats out Homecoming. Kevin Feige and team delivered on their promise and now we can see Spider-Man flourish as a solo hero without the help of Iron Man (RIP Tony).
Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever.

My Verdict
In my honest opinion this is one of the best MCU movies and it had big shoes to fill after Avengers: Endgame. I’m not just saying this because Spider-Man is my all time favourite hero; it is actually just a really really great film. You will not regret spending your hard-earned money on it. It is a movie for everyone, whether you like superhero movies or not. I’m definitely taking my next date to go watch it.
My Rating: 9.1 out of 10 – Almost Perfect
