Atomic Blonde, the review
Action,
sexy woman, bare breasts and James McAvoy, sounds like the perfect combination,
right? I guess in some way it works, but it will work for everyone.
Charlize
Theron is an awesome ass kicking spy with a particular set of skills, but it
isn’t enough to qualify her as the next female James Bond. The lighting and
direction of the movie is magnificent, with a few scenes that will leave you
begging for more, but that’s just one side to the coin.
The movie
has stretched nudity scenes, that don’t really help with the story’s
progression. All you get is seeing Charlize naked for no apparent reason. The
action scenes are fantastic; director David Leitch definitely knew what kind of
action movie he wanted to give the world.
The film
does start of a little confusing and boring if I can say, but as the story
progresses it gets better and it is third act that’s worth the wait. The
writing is a little bleak and can be predictable at times, but at least we have
an original film and not just another sequel at our cinemas.
James
McAvoy and Charlize Theron belong together on the screen, they are just plain
awesome. It’s as if the characters were written especially for them. Personally
I think they should work together more often.
This isn’t
just another comic book or graphic novel adaption, it’s a story you might love.
If you like the darkness and neon colours then you should definitely check it
out ASAP. I’ll give it a 6.7 out of 10.
